CSPA Welcomes New Member: Finkl Steel

OTTAWA, September 25, 2024 – Today, Catherine Cobden, President and CEO of the Canadian Steel Producers Association (CSPA) announced that Finkl Steel is joining the Association. Louis Philippe Lapierre, Vice President & General Manager of Finkl Steel – Sorel, has been appointed to CSPA’s Board of Directors.

“The CSPA is pleased to welcome Finkl Steel to the association,” said Cobden. “Finkl Steel plays a unique role in the Canadian steel industry and will be a good addition to the membership. Further, with their joining us, the CSPA now represents 100 per cent of steel production in Canada.”

The CSPA’s mission is to support the domestic steel industry by speaking with one voice to governments and stakeholders across the country. The CSPA is committed to building a resilient and sustainable future for the domestic industry and enabling Canadian steel producers to prosper in both domestic and international markets.
