OTTAWA, ON, December 17, 2024 – Today, Catherine Cobden, President and CEO of the Canadian Steel Producers Association (CSPA) announced that Welded Tube of Canada is joining the Association and that Robert “Butch” Mandel, the company’s President & CEO, has been appointed to CSPA’s Board of Directors.
“The CSPA is pleased to welcome Welded Tube of Canada to the Association,” said Cobden, “As a major pipe and tube producer in Canada with a strong track record of support for the domestic steel industry, they are a welcome addition to our membership.”
“As the industry faces challenging headwinds, now more than ever, we need to bring the strongest players together across the domestic steel industry to speak with one voice to governments and stakeholders,” Cobden added.
“Given our pipe and tube facilities in both Canada and the U.S.” said Mandel, “Welded Tube brings to the CSPA a political perspective from both jurisdictions, especially relevant now with the incoming U.S. Administration.”
