CSPA Responds to US Supreme Court Decision on IEEPA Tariffs

In response to yesterday's decision by US Supreme Court on the International Emergency Economic Powers Act, Catherine Cobden, President and CEO of the Canadian Steel Producers Association issued the following statement:

"Yesterday's Supreme Court ruling has invalidated the IEEPA tariffs, but it is important to recognize that this ruling has no material impact on Canada's steel sector. We continue to face damaging Section 232 tariffs that pose significant challenges to our producers, their workers and communities.

As Canada pursues a review of CUSMA, it remains critical that these tariffs are addressed."
